Exploratory Sketching

 

With the course exploratory sketching I improved my sketching skills. But most importantly I learned the differences between specific ways of sketching.

 

Sketching with the exploratory mindset and sketching with a communicative mindset. With the exploratory mindset I experienced that sketching can help you as a designer to learn more and explore what your product could be like. This can function as a quick way of exploring your future product by exploring different shapes a product could be. Also by using other products and shapes as an example and inspiration. With the communicative mindset the sketch is focused on communicating the thought of product to others. This helped me to be able to communicate my ideas and products to others and convince them. Exploring or communicating something visually by sketching will always work better and stronger than doing this verbally.
